Should video games be taught in school?

Their are times in my life when i think that video games should be taught in school, because it helps with students to realize what's out there. The future is moving so fast that in time you are going to need robots for everything so you have to get use to it. In school there are ways we could learn from video games, there are games in each helps you in math, english, and social studies. You won't need any help from teacher and it will help the economic out.

  1. I agree with some of this. But the problem is that people will take advantage of these games and not even focus on what they are doing. I don't think the robots will be used anytime soon. It will be good to be prepared. But i think that if we invent more robots, they will be more user friendly.

  2. They should do it. It makes learning way better with them. It does help you know about math or science. Their are all kinds of games that make you learn. They help you learn history or mostly any subject and it makes your learning process way better. They should at least try to make it happen at least for one class.

  4. I think this is true.
It has also been proven that experting in video games can help you become a surgeon because of the hand movement techniques you have.
Video games would also a fun way to learn things.

  5. I think that there are many things that go fast. Like time does goes fast. For example I am a senior and I have to start to look for what college I am going to go to. But I also have to start to look for what I am going to study or see what I am going to be. That is why we are all pilot of how we use our time and the way we make everything possible for us in the future.

  6. Well, video games are fun. I enjoy playing them myself, i have my very own nintendo ds and a Wii. i agree that there is many video games that can help us learn and become better at things. Like they even have math and reading games and i guess using them may be a fun way to learn.

  7. I think that games are a good way to show kids thing you know. Games will get the attention of kids but at the same time it will distract them in a way that they’re not learning nothing. I think there are some games that may teach you thing you know but most kids don’t like them in the first place they like the violent and mature games and kids would not like that much but I disagree with Jonathan and his blog. I think that videos games should not be taught in school that’s what we have teachers they teach a lot and make us better in life and a video game cant do that.

  8. I THINK THAT VIDEO GAMES SHOULD BE TOUGHT IN SCHOOL. THERE IS MANY WAYS IN WHICH A STUDENT COULD LEARN FROM VIDEO GAMES. VIDEO GAMES HAVE MANY NEW THINGS THAT WE HAVENT EVEN HEARD IN SCHOOL. THEY ARE SO ADVANCED THAT THEY ARE ALMOST LIKE A TEACHER. BUT I DO AGREEE WITH THIS STATEMENT.

  9. I think what this quote means is we should all think of showing us how to live in life like video game characters. Also how an animated character is controlled as a video game is. Therefore many games help you to learn and become a better student in life. By studying and focusing on the game you’re playing.

  10. I disagree with Jonathan. I don't really think they should allow schools to teach video games. Its true that soon with all the technology going on everything might be done by robots but i think its a little too soon for that. i might be wrong but in my personal opinion i don't see why teachers should teach video games school should be for any other subject like the ones we have now they could learn about video games in their own spare time.

  11. I don’t think that what Jonathan is saying is right. I don’t think that it would be a good idea for video games to be taught in school. A lot of accidents have happened due to video games so I don’t think it would be right to have them in our school…daisy pd2

  12. They should use video games to teach it will be a good idea. But some students are going to take advantage of this. I think the students will be more focused and will learn more from it.

  13. I don't thing video games should be taught in school because there 90% of the games sold in game stop are for mature people only, so I don't thing its possible to teach video games in school but that would be awesome if it was possible to teach gaming in school very little kids dream, Very lucky person getting an opinion from a Pro Gamer. 15. I think they should not because then they will not learn what hey have to learn for life. All they will now is how to play video games. What kind of job will you have? It is good for the economic but not good for you.

  16. In some part i agree. You do learn things from video games for example it shows you how war really is. But in school it wouldn't be a good time. It will just be out of control. I think the next next generation will be able to handle it, because this one is quite ready . Well, maybe just some.
